Congrats Moose!

If this is his final game, what a way to go out. Oldest player to ever record their first 20 win season, age 39. Congrats, Moose.

What's next? Another year or Cooperstown? Let the debates begin!

Unfortunately, there are no guarantees in baseball. If we could be reasonably certain that Moose was going to be as good next year as this that would be one thing...

Of course there is another consideration here, and that is that it might not be for just one season, but three. How true that is I don't know, but it has been stated by may at the YES network, as well as many of the other analysts, that if Moose continues he will want to go on for 3 seasons to go for 300 wins.

So, in my humble opinion, I'd say yes to a year, but no to three (unless the price was very reasonable and he was willing to transition to a bullpen role).

He really had a Coughlin-like turnaround this year. Not only did he achieve great success on the field, but he seems a lot happier, relaxed, and more approachable off the field. It's almost like he's finally accepting his role as a teammate and not just a hired hand.

If he's looking for a 3-year deal then they can't possibly sign him. If he agree to go year to year, I would do it at 5th starter money.
