I don't care about Ali's son since Ali wasn't a ball player, nor do I care about McCourt's spawn because it's always a favor when a player is drafted by related management.

Just curious, but is young Yaz any good? I can see him getting drafted by Boston as a family favor, but at least his pop could play. Can he? Where in the draft was he taken?

The O's drafted Steven Bumbry in the 12th round. He's the son of Al Bumbry, the O's OF from 1973-1984.

OK, BC, that's cool, but are these sons of kids any good? Or did young Yaz and Bumbry get drafted as a favor? If they did, that's fine. I work in a horrible industry and I've been forced to hire sons of, and daughters of, in the past, but I'm just wondering if these kids are good ballplayers that deserved to be drafted in the first place. Or are they Pete Rose Jrs?

Yea, you missed...

the 3 game spanking, which totals a big 0 for 09. I wouldn't talk about it either. If you don't mention it for three days it might go away. Why don't you pick on Manny some more and speculate how the Sox World Series wins were tainted. Then you'll feel better! Mabey you could even set up a vote for Giambi site too!
