First cuts made; so far, so good

The first moves have been made with the Yanks sending several pitchers to the minors. No major surprises; I expect to see more of Brackman sooner than later.

They re-assigned right-handed pitchers J.B. Cox, George Kontos and Kanekoa Texiera to minor league camp, and optioned right-hander Andrew Brackman to Class-A Charleston.
Biased comment: Hacker's not on that list so we're happy. Keep rooting for our guy, will ya?! His outing vs. Team USA wasn't a sharp one but hopefully he's impressed others along the way like the way he impressed Posada.

His outing vs. Team USA might not have been, um, 'sparkling', but the beating that lineup handed out last night has to make him feel a little better about it.

Actually, it's funny, not only is Team USA practically an All Star team, but Venezuela is as well. And their lineup was far more familiar with our pitchers than vice versa. Sorry...went off on a tangent there...
